Pet grooming brush with steam spray and UV sterilisation for dogs and cats

Managing loose pet hair and maintaining coat hygiene are common challenges for dog and cat owners. This grooming brush combines several functions into a single tool designed to address these needs. It integrates a fine-toothed comb for detangling and hair removal with a built-in spray system that emits a gentle mist. This mist can help distribute grooming products or simply add moisture. A further feature is the inclusion of UVC blue light technology within the comb head, which provides a sterilising action as you groom. The device is constructed from ABS plastic and is powered by a rechargeable battery, making it a portable option for regular pet care routines.

Features and Construction

The design of this pet grooming tool centres on a multi-functional approach to coat care. It moves beyond basic combing to incorporate additional features intended to improve the grooming experience for both the pet and the owner.

Material and Build

The comb is manufactured from ABS plastic, a material chosen for its durability and moulding capabilities, which allow for the precise formation of the fine needles and the internal compartments for the water tank and electronics. This construction houses the integrated systems for spraying and UV light emission. The product is available in two distinct colour finishes, Ceramic White and Pink, offering a choice of appearance.

Size and Practical Fit

While exact dimensions are not specified, the design incorporates a handheld form factor intended for ease of use. Key functional specifications include a 30ml integrated water tank for the steam spray function and a 3.7V/300mAh rechargeable lithium battery. The device charges via a standard USB connection (DC 5V/1A input) and requires approximately 150 minutes for a full charge, supporting its cordless operation during grooming sessions.

Uses and Placement

This tool is presented as a universal grooming accessory suitable for both dogs and cats. Its combined functions allow it to serve in various grooming contexts, from routine maintenance at home to more targeted sessions addressing specific coat concerns.

Event or Professional Use

For owners preparing pets for shows, visits, or photography, the tool’s multi-functionality can be particularly relevant. The gentle mist can help settle the coat and reduce static, while the UV sterilisation may be used for a final hygiene pass. The cordless, portable design means it can be easily included in a grooming kit for use outside the home, such as at competitions or professional grooming appointments as a personal supplementary tool.

Everyday Home Use

In daily pet care, the brush is designed to manage shedding by removing loose hair directly into the comb teeth, aiming to prevent it from becoming airborne. The fine, soft needle construction is intended to glide through the coat with reduced pulling, which can make regular brushing sessions more tolerable for pets sensitive to grooming. The mist function can also be utilised to lightly dampen the coat before brushing or to apply diluted, pet-safe essences.

Benefits and Buying Value

The value of this grooming brush lies in its consolidation of multiple grooming steps into one tool. It seeks to simplify the process for the owner while potentially enhancing the experience for the pet through considered design choices.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

As a rechargeable electronic device, it is built for repeated use over time, eliminating the need for disposable batteries. The water tank is refillable, and the ABS plastic body can be wiped clean. The main maintenance involves ensuring the device is charged and the tank is filled, which integrates into a regular pet care routine.

Why Choose This Product

This product may be suited for pet owners looking for a grooming tool that offers more than basic combing. The addition of the steam spray addresses dry coats or the application of treatments, and the UV light provides a hygiene feature not found on standard brushes. The gentle needle design is a direct response to the need for comfort during grooming, which can be a deciding factor for owners of pets with sensitive skin or low tolerance for brushing.
