Tesla Model 3 and Model Y Under-Screen ETC Storage Box in ABS Plastic

Black ABS plastic storage box installed under the touchscreen in a Tesla Model Y centre console.

Maximise the utility of your Tesla Model 3 or Model Y's interior with this dedicated ETC storage box. Designed to fit precisely into the often-unused space located directly beneath the vehicle's large central touchscreen, this organiser transforms a blank area into functional storage. It provides a secure and easily accessible spot for the small items you need while driving, helping to reduce clutter in cup holders or door pockets. Available in Black or White, it offers a simple way to keep your centre console tidy and your essentials within arm's reach.

Features and Construction

This storage box is purpose-built for a specific location in your Tesla, focusing on practicality and fit over complex features. Its design centres on solving the common problem of loose items rattling around in the spacious centre console area of the Model 3 and Model Y.

Material and Build

The box is constructed from ABS plastic, a material chosen for its rigidity and suitability for automotive interiors. ABS provides a sturdy structure that holds its shape, ensuring the storage compartment remains open and usable. This material choice results in a product that is lightweight yet robust enough for its intended use, holding everyday items without flexing or deforming.

Size and Practical Fit

The primary specification for this product is its application: it is designed exclusively for the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, often grouped under the term 'M3Y'. Its dimensions are engineered to occupy the specific under-screen recess in the centre console of these vehicles. This custom fit means it sits flush within the existing interior lines, looking like an integrated part of the car rather than an afterthought. It is intended for storing flat or small items typical of driving, such as toll payment cards (ETC), key cards, or a standard packet of tissues.

Uses and Placement

This organiser turns wasted space into a practical storage zone. Its placement directly below the main control screen makes it one of the most convenient spots in the cabin for items you need to grab quickly without looking away from the road for long.

Event or Professional Use

For professional drivers or those who use their Tesla for ride-sharing, this box offers a discreet and organised place for business-related items. Toll payment transponders (ETC units), spare key cards for car-sharing services, or a small notepad can be stored here, keeping them separate from personal belongings and readily available. It helps maintain a professional and uncluttered cabin appearance for clients or passengers.

Everyday Home Use

For daily commuting and family trips, the box is ideal for storing the Tesla key card, parking garage tokens, or loose change for meters. Parents might use it to hold a small pack of wet wipes or tissues. By dedicating this spot to such items, you free up the larger centre console bin for bigger possessions like sunglasses cases, snacks, or charging cables, making everything easier to find.

Benefits and Buying Value

The value of this product lies in its targeted solution and straightforward application. It addresses a specific design gap in an otherwise well-considered vehicle interior.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

As a simple plastic storage tray, it requires virtually no maintenance. The ABS plastic can be wiped clean with a damp cloth if it gets dusty or stained. There are no moving parts to break, and its single-unit design means there is nothing to assemble or adjust. It is a set-and-forget accessory that performs its function reliably over time.

Why Choose This Product

You should consider this storage box if you own a Tesla Model 3 or Model Y and have found the under-screen area to be an empty, unused space. Its main advantage is its specific, confirmed compatibility with these models, ensuring a proper fit. The choice of ABS plastic makes it a durable option for the task, and the availability of two colours (Black or White) allows you to select the one that best matches your car's interior trim, helping it blend in seamlessly.
