98-Key Wireless Bluetooth Mechanical Keyboard Kit with Display and Metal Knob for Custom Gaming and Office Setups

This 98-key wireless mechanical keyboard kit provides a foundation for building a personalised input device suited for both intensive gaming sessions and prolonged office work. Offering triple-mode connectivity including Bluetooth and wired operation via a 1.6 metre USB cable, it adapts to various desktop configurations and user preferences. The kit format, which excludes mechanical switches and keycaps, invites enthusiasts to select components that match their desired tactile feedback and aesthetic, creating a truly customised typing instrument. With numerous style variations encompassing display-screen models, non-display versions, and eight distinct colour themes, it addresses the growing demand for individuality in peripheral choices.

Features and Construction

The keyboard's design centres on flexibility and user choice, providing a robust platform for customisation rather than a pre-assembled final product. This approach caters specifically to mechanical keyboard enthusiasts and those seeking tailored performance characteristics.

Material and Build

All keyboard variants incorporate a metal control knob, providing tangible, precise adjustment for volume, scrolling, or macro functions without relying on digital controls. The housing and internal structure utilise standard plastics for keyboard construction, forming a durable chassis ready for the addition of your chosen switches and keycaps. The exclusion of switches and keycaps from the kit is intentional, allowing you to install components that match your preferred actuation force, tactile feedback, and keycap profile.

Size and Practical Fit

The 98-key layout offers a compact form factor that conserves desk space while retaining a dedicated numpad, making it suitable for both data entry tasks and gaming. The included 1.6 metre USB cable provides ample length for comfortable cable management in most desktop setups, whether connecting directly to a PC tower or a USB hub. This cable serves dual purposes, enabling both wired operation and charging for the internal battery that supports Bluetooth functionality.

Uses and Placement

Designed for versatility, this keyboard kit transitions effectively between professional and recreational environments. Its connectivity options and customisable nature make it appropriate for users who value both performance and personal expression in their tools.

Event or Professional Use

For gaming tournaments or LAN events, the wireless Bluetooth capability reduces cable clutter and simplifies setup, while the wired mode ensures zero-latency performance when it matters most. In office environments, the 98-key layout with numpad supports efficient numerical data entry, spreadsheet work, and accounting tasks. The ability to pair via Bluetooth with multiple devices, such as a desktop PC and a laptop, enhances productivity for users managing several workstations.

Everyday Home Use

At home, the keyboard serves as a central hub for entertainment systems, allowing control of media playback via the metal knob while gaming or browsing. The customisable nature lets you build a keyboard that suits your typing style for long writing sessions, programming, or casual use. Choosing a style with an integrated display screen provides at-a-glance system information or custom graphics, while non-display models offer a cleaner aesthetic.

Benefits and Buying Value

The kit format delivers value through long-term adaptability and personal relevance, moving beyond the limitations of pre-configured peripherals. This approach acknowledges that typing preference is highly individual and that the ideal keyboard evolves with a user's needs.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

Because you supply the switches and keycaps, these components can be reused, upgraded, or replaced independently over time without discarding the entire keyboard. The metal control knob offers a durable physical interface less prone to wear than membrane-based controls. Should the keyboard's electronic components remain functional, the exterior can be refreshed simply by changing keycaps, extending its usable life as trends or preferences change.

Why Choose This Product

This keyboard kit appeals if you seek specific switch types (linear, tactile, or clicky) or keycap profiles that aren't typically bundled in pre-built keyboards. The extensive style selection—spanning display and non-display models across eight colour themes like Jiangnan, misty rain, seaweed, lilac, fog blue, and light pink—ensures visual alignment with your setup. The inclusion of both Bluetooth and wired connectivity future-proofs your investment, accommodating evolving workstation configurations and device ecosystems.
